My wife has a 1996 4.0SE and does about 9.5-12.5mpg average. And it's my wife driving not mine ! My 840Ci does 18mpg and I drive much faster and accelerates more aggressivly. Also my 840Ci weights a little less about 600lbs less but still the less then 10mpg is horror !

BTW : The '96 Range Rover 4.0SE is for sale, has 44k miles , sliver with grey leather, perfect condition. Price : $28,500


Land Rover doesn't belong to BMW anymore so it has to go. FOrd owns Land Rover and undecided about the new modell !?!?
