I know it's only June but can anyone give me any advice regarding snow tires and/or winter wheels for my '97 840ci?

Twice last winter I darned nearly had several accidents in downtown Stamford (CT) in only 2" of snow. Even with the quaintly named "Traction Control" operating correctly, the car was fish-tailing and skidding etc. I had to leave it at work and beg a ride home from my boss - a Lexus owner! Most embarrassing.

I have had new Michelin "Pilots" fitted which may help a little. What do other 840/850 owners do in snow? I use my car almost every day. Are snow tires & wheels available?
