I've lived in Europe most of my driving life, and I think I speak for a lot of Europeans, I've never rotated a tire in my life... The wear patterns on a BMW I don't think would favors this.(unless you rotate ever 5000km.)

Alpina used the 8,5 and 10 inch setup on their B12 5.0 due to the increased Hp. BMW Motorsport adopted this on the CSi. The only drawback I could see would be slightly more understeer on a normal 8 due to the more directional stability from the rear. Was this the reason BMW motorsport created a 4 wheel steering system for the CSi?
