Chistopher,

There are two types of Pentosin used in the 8 series. Those '92 and older use 7.1 and sometime in the late '92 year they switched to the 11.x fluid (there is a label on the non-7.1 systems describing the new fluid in that model year). Anyway, there IS a specific way to flush the system and I have the text in my BMW 8 repair manual. Just email me and I will discuss it with you.
