: Lez I have missing or loose rear pin on the ashtray lid. It opens and closes sorta OK but the aft end is somewhat adrift. How do I get at it and can I replace the presumed missing pin? Also tray light is out and I am one of the few remaining admitted smokers in the world. Luckily mine is in classic plastic... Thanx - John
: : : Tipical stealer reaction ! Do not listen to them !
: : 1. Buy an ashtray from a dealer
: : Part Number # 51 16 1 940 843 $64.00
: : 2. Take the old ashtray apart and save the lid.
: : 3. Take the new ones apart and put it back with
: : the old (wood) lid and you are finished !
: : If you have a regular plastic without the wood, it is even simplier, but the lid replacement is very easy to do.
: : Actually there is not many things can be broken, probably a little shaft is missing, that's why it doesn't stay closed.
: : I have a complete ashtray without the lid, so if anybody needs parts, let me know.
