It certainly sounds like I have that no-go chip in the ECU. I'll check compression and talk to the dealer but I don't expect much. I'm not the original owner and 80K.
Im afraid if that's the case, if I install an aftermarket chip I'll eventually cause the damage that BMW's trying to avoid. Thanks for your input.
