Window seals (archive)

Well, the window seal on the driver's side has torn again in its usual spot -- just behind the front edge of the rear window. When I have this one replaced, it'll be the fourth time for the driver's side. The passenger side has been replaced twice.
What appears to happen is that when the car, '93 850ci, black/black, 81,000 miles, is parked putside in the summertime, the heat causes the seal to stick to the window, and eventually it'll tear when I lower the windows.
I've tried about everything I can think of to keep this from happening -- silicon, Gummifluggen (Sp?, petroleum jelly -- on the seals to keep them from sticking to the windows, but as the history shows, nothing has really been effective. I use a car cover when it's parked outside for long periods of time, and it's garaged.
I'm not going to stop lowering the windows, which would be one solution, and I'm tired of trying to keep the windows clean w/ all that stuff on the seals.
Any suggestions/solutions would be welcomed.
