(They are oke for a long time, cca. 200k miles or so, but the 94-95 840Ci isn't a wise choice with over 100k miles due to the nikasil block. I'd get away from that car unless it is extremly chep - under 15-16,000USD or so. warranty covers the engine up to 100k miles, so if the engine goes, you have to do the rebuilt or buy a new engine, very expensive labor !!!
