: here is the deal my 91 850i has a small oil leak from the gaskets. The extended warranty co. has given the okay to repair both sides. The shop says it probably will need the fuel lines replaced and I should do it while the covers are off because if I don't and the lines start leaking the labor cost will be the same as changing the gaskets at a later date. The extended warranty co. doesn't cover hoses. He said to replace the fuel lines would cost a couple of hundred dollars. the valve job is right at 1000.00 and my deductible is 50.00 Is the price right to replace fuel hoses if you are already there? should they need replacing, the car has 55k on it? Please advise.
If the leak is forward on the right bank, it could be the timing belt tensioner O ring.
