With the original paint, that would be a fair price to pay. My only worry would be why was it painted. Was the car keyed, wrecked, or did it just have so many chipped places on it that the owner just had the whole car repainted?
If it was wrecked, I would like to know the extent of the damage. Personally, I would take it to a good body shop and have them tell me if they could determine if the car had been damaged. Have you tried to contact all of the previous owners?
