As a former E24 owner, I'll agree that the 6 is more fun to drive, more communicative, and nimbler thanks in part to its lighter weight and fast steering ratio. However, I think the 8 is equally if not more capable in the cornering department. I've found that the wider stance and better weight distribution of the 8 allow for much higher cornering limits than the 6.
