Thanks guys, I did call a local BMW shop and they basically said it could be either/or and the only way to really find out is to bring it in. If it's the tensioner bearing, I'm looking at almost $200 but I guess they will replace other stuff while they are at it. If it's the compressor I'm looking at around $1200 and that is for a factory remanufactured compressor. Also, if I just keep going and don't do the repair, the technician said that if it's the bearing, nothing big will happen, maybe I'll lose another belt or so, but if it's the compressor, I'll probably screw up alot of my bmw's innards. Anyway, during this heat wave we're having in Los Angeles, I don't think I can live without the AC. I'll let you guys know what it ends up being. Thanks for the help!
