Yes, the infrared remotes are expensive. This is the flip-out style and that makes it expensive. The 225USD seems a little bit too expensive, I think I could have got that for about 179 or 189USD but even that is too much. The new style is a no style at all. So at least you have a nice remote and practical. The new ones are very simple looking and less expensive, but I'd be happy to pay for the expensive flip-out style. (That's what MB and Range Rover still uses)
