Jim,

I noticed that you said your 850 has 139,000 miles on it. I just bought a 91 CiA, and love it. It has 46,000 and is in virtually perfect condition. I would very much like to keep it that way, and enjoy it as much as I have my E30 M3 with 146,000 miles. In a nutshell, what is your secret? What would you have done diferently, if anything? What should I watch out for? Thanks for your time!

Where are you located? I'm in OKC but lived in Tulsa last year. Crown BMW in Tulsa seems to have the best techs if you are looking to get a 2nd opinion. Cooper in OKC is OK (no pun intended), but Crown is open on Saturdays also, so makes it easier to get in on the weekends. I have 139,000 miles on my 92 850i and I don't have any compression problems. I find it odd that a car with that many miles would.
