"Delay engagement in reverse". It happen more often when engine cold !


At 100K miles, BMW replaced my engine block (cool). Within a couple weeks, I noticed (perhaps 4 times in two months) the car wouldn't go into reverse (after depressing accelerator vigorously, it would leap into reverse). Anyone had any similar? The car is a great road car (just did a long trip with no problem) and I had plans to drive it for another 100K miles.
