Regardless of the postings, the all aluminum BMW engine remains itself a work of art from those who have historically been the most inventive people on the planet. I'm toying with buying one, butwould hate to be limited to pushrod engine rpm limitations, and was wondering about getting it to spin about 8000 rpm, as the overhead cam engine is advantageously designed for. Injectors and computer need to be altered, and fuel pump(s) may not be adequate. That's all. It may not be the car for me. Perhaps a Ferrari.
It WAS a little fun ! Thanks.
OK, let's try to end this useless crap and do our best to ignore these interruptions in the future (but it sure can be fun!!). I've been over to read the 454ss board and I'll do the right thing and withhold my opinions.
HOWEVER, in minor defense of Chris (aka cjw or Quaff), he did come here with a legitimate and polite question (posted 8/18) and no one answered him. That fact that he returned with invective because he was ignored only goes to show how effective George W. Bush's education campaign has been in Texas. (No offense meant to our Texan E-31 brethren, you are the exceptions that prove the rule.) So, let's let cjw go back to his truck (gun rack included, I'll bet) and his truck buddies and let them bash away at us, and we'll stay here and continue to turn heads everywhere we drive.
'Nuff Said,
