This would seem like a no-brainer, seeing that the outside temp was around 120, I had the A/C on and I was pedal to the metal for about an hour straight. Somewhere near the 3/4 mark of the trip it began to drift up to Red and I had to turn off the A/c to control it (not comfortable). Of course I could have slowed down but was on a sort-of self imposed time run on hwy79 from 15 just past Temecula to Palm Springs (very short and hard curvy country road and very demanding to be safe with traffic. I would have slowed or stopped but turning the A/C off immediately cooled it down.

My question simply put is "At 115 to 120 degrees outside temp, is this car supposed to get hot with the A/C on and driving hard? Most cars I would definitely say yes. However with this car I am not so sure. Perhaps I do in fact need a new Thermostat or an additional or better cooler fan up front. I know, I know, I don't want much do I, just to be driving in the world's most incredible car, on one of the worlds hottest days in the desert, listening to my fav music, with the A/C at a crisp 65, driving as hard as possible while staying on the road, without the car getting hot. hehehe, Don't worry the engine is fine, I never let it reach Red and these cranks and rods are bullet-proof, thank God. Let me know what you think I can do to cool it down on such a future day. Thanks, Kurt.G
