A loud horn inside, for you, doesn't necessarily mean a better one in traffic. The frequency on MBZ and BMWs are calibrated for Autobahn driving at speeds above 60mph. Yes a loud and noisy horn could wake people up at lower speeds, but I personally think the standard horn is effective. I've used the at speeds over 200Kph on in Germany and other cars seem to have heard me...
