BROKEN SHOCK MOUNT? anybody had this happen? (archive)

I have never seen anything like this, and cannot believe it happened on my '91. My driver's rear shock mount is completely broken off. The top of the shock is now free of the body of the car. Someone tell me this has happened to them and there is a reasonable welding solution. If you know someone in the Dallas area who can help, I would REALLY appreciate the info. Thanks in advance....
