Gentlemen,

On humid days ( and perhaps others...but not sure ), by exhaust seems to deliver a white-ish, smelly smoke at cold idle. She's idling very, very smoothly after a recent tune up. However, I am thiking (dangerous) that the computer is telling the motor to run more rich/lean than it needs to when cold.

I've considered replacing the oxygen sensors (64k miles). However, like the guy who says "I need a home computer but I don't know why," I don't know why one would change these (rather pricey) widgets. What would a new oxygen sensor provide in the way of discernable improvements? Would it provide better MPG? more HP? more XYZ?....or simply be a preventative measure to avoid a burned up catalyst or muffler?

Thanks boys

Be safe,
Puff
