I have a front plate on my 91 CalypsoRed, but when I bought it the seller gave me a Red moulded painted piece that goes in place of the front plate, so Now that you have pointed it out to me I am going to try it this weekend and see how guilty I feel!

Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is legal to run a car without a front license plate in California?

The 8 has such a nice nose, it would really stand out if the darn ugly license plate wasn't there to break the lines.

I'd like to get a nice front spoiler upgrade and in the process maybe take off the front plate. I've seen photos of 8's without front plates, but I don't know where they were taken.

Any info would be great!
