In Connecticut, they give everyone two plates, but I decided to put a chrome Roundel plate on my 8 and it looks great. It also helps all those who don't know its a bimmer since the 8 is the only bimmer with these type of lines.

Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is legal to run a car without a front license plate in California?

The 8 has such a nice nose, it would really stand out if the darn ugly license plate wasn't there to break the lines.

I'd like to get a nice front spoiler upgrade and in the process maybe take off the front plate. I've seen photos of 8's without front plates, but I don't know where they were taken.

Any info would be great!

Thanks,
Richard
