yep, just pull rigth out. located in a big black box just front of the firewall on the passenger side. There is only one for the 840. The other one is for the tranny or alarm... so make sure it is the right one. Th number should start with 0261-200-xxx My '95 840Ci was a 404 and some people said it is the 528 computer... hmm, interesting but the car was an 840
