OK... sunroof fixed, headlight "buckets" on order. Almost perfect. I asked a while ago about redoing seats, and many of you said just find a good Upholstery Shop. Well, I searched and searched. BMW wanted $700 JUST FOR THE seat cushion leather, each. My dog scratched it, long story. (PS... you know, our rear seats aren't great for humans, but dogs love em if you have the guts to try it!)

Anyway, I'm hoping I found a place that we might all benefit from... perhaps you've heard of it... World Upholstery & Trim. Note the link below. It will take you to their site, and shows prices for each item, or the complete kit $1600. $1600 gets you all new leather for your front seats, even new headrest covers, and the back of the front seats. These prices are more reasonable... I spend $264 and get a new piece of OEM quality black leather to fix my seat... they even asked me about what kind of stitching I had so they could match it. They cut it to match exactly, its new, tight, and has the loop connectors as well.

We'll see how good they are... my pieces are arriving next week. Hopefully I've found a place that has matched the quality of the originals, same texture, same stitching, same thing. If so, you can piecemeal what you need without paying dealership prices or taking a chance with a custom place. They were very polite and knowledgeable on the phone... call, don't order online...

Maybe wait until I get this done and I'll post what I find, good or bad.

But I do like the fact that they have their own part numbers for everything in our 8s... they know the fit, obviously...

Trying to contribute,

Loren
