Problem... the first set had a bad "sensor" on one of the wires, so my car went to 6 cyls. got another set, same thing. Very pissed by now, the 3rd set worked fine.
I'm sure one of you knows the technical name for this sensor, but basically it wraps around one of the wires from each side of the engine...2 of them total. It senses when a spark is going through and has a permissable resistence range. Its on your stock wires too.
Well, bascially what the aftermarket companys are doing is this. They make the cables just fine, but they need this pick up sensor... they buy it from BMW. Problem: The stock sensor is for the 7mm wire, so fitting it on the 8mm wires requires they bore it out a bit, and this is where they mess it up. Done right it works fine.
So, where ever you may get a set, remember that if things are suddenly not working, its one of those 2 sensors, right or left side...
