I constantly have a problem with the 2. I'm from europe and therefore I used a meter/kg/etc. and living in a US for 5 years still confused. In europe everything is divided by 10/100/1000 so you can convert while here is all different. how many fl.oz is 1 gallon ? how many feet is 1 mile ? how many square feet is 1 acre ? or better yet how many square m (m2) is 1 acre ?? how many oz is 1 lbs ? Why is the pound is lbs ??? why not pd like KiloGramm is KG, KiloMeter is KM, etc those questions are always makes me wonder why is the 2 different system ? Like PAL and SECAM, NTSC, 5 different region for DVD, right hand driving, etc. Makes our lives harder ? I still think the EURO system makes more sense and easier to use for an average person. But I still have to learn the US system. I use my calculator (has a fast conversion in it) every day.
