Hello everyone, this is a happy tale:

I have a Dinan engine chip for my '94 840Ci. It took a few hundred miles for the chip to adapt its parameters, but once it took, the car felt like a new beast, ESPECIALLY in sports mode.

IMHO, it is one of the best bang for the buck upgrades you can get. It only cost $400 or so, and you get a 15% increase in HP. If the engine chip isn't peppy enough you can always also get the transmission chip along with it for sportier shift points.

Of course, improved performance comes at the cost of fuel economy, but only if you're flooring it all the time.

My 0.02,
Richard

Interested in hearing happy and sad tales.

Trying to figure out if Conforti chip is available for my car. Any other chips that are good/better?
