Joe has a solid point.

I would agree with Joe. If price were equal, then I'd take the car with the original paint job if it was well maintained, etc. If the price was sufficiently discounted from others due to the paint job, then I'd go for the re-painted car (meaning that all other aspects of the car were pristine). I would then be sure to hold onto it for a very very long time.

Over time, with age, etc., I would imagine that there would be less of a difference (say 15 years out) between a excellent re-paint and a well-maintained original paint.

I think where you're at due to the newness of the car, the re-paint gives you concern in terms of value.
