I can't speak for this particular car, of course, but my '91 had the same symptom, and it has never been in an accident. The cause was a piece of weatherstripping had migrated over time, until it was actually holding the right side of the hood up slightly. This piece is visible on this car in the photo with the hood up. It's located just to the right of the right headlight assy, and is about 18" long or so, and runs parallel to the fender. It also looks like the very front is slightly crushed, where the interference occurs.

Apologies ahead of time to the seller if I am mistaking, but:

Is it possible this vehicle hit/was hit by something on its front right side? The headlight cover seems *much* lower on the right side compare to the left. Follow the link and look at photo #2 to see what I mean. The right side's headling cover seems almost indented compared to the other side.

From what I've read, this is telltale of body damage and reworking. Any other causes for headlight unevenness?

Be careful out there...


Seems nice, too many previous owners and high mileage for me.
