If a little legwork can answer the question as to whether your block's been replaced, then it's well worth the effort vs. paying for a diagnostic.

It sounds like your already have your BMWNA report, the one with all the mysterious repair codes on it. They're not very helpful, and when I bought mine, the salesman was too lazy to look up the codes for me, I had to bug the Service Manager.

Question for the group - Does anyone have a listing of repair codes?
