Wheel wells-'91 850i (archive)

The inside lip of my front wheel wells on my '91 850i seem to have "drops" of hardened clear coat. There seems to be no other indications of repaint and the car only had about 20K miles on it when I noticed. I would like for some of you to feel/look at the inside lip of your wheel wells and see if this is common.
