840 got sick. (archive)

Took my 97 840Ci for a drive to the bank today. Came out and turned the key and cough like a bad misfire (maybe it sensed a paycheck). Now it won't start. I let is sit for about 30 minutes and it tried and spit again. Towed to the doctor. Hope he has good news.

Have warranty(s) both CPO and third party (plan on keeping the car and the CPO will end in 2 years, whereas the third party will last 7 years or 100k miles). I should see the 7 years with my short trips to work and weekend fun drives.

As I sit and wait, any ideas what it might be. The current thought is fuel pump. Guesses are welcome.

I let you know what the result is.
