I'm not sure if there is any of the owners here that think twice on taking their car out for a spin. I think it's more an issue of the vehicle being the 3 or 4 in the household and not being used as a daily driver. Then we have other guys here like Jim Surdick with 130000 and counting. But as Kurt said sometimes you just can't drive it, and you want to make sure that you are giving the 8 the best treatment you can while it's sitting.
On the flip side, I'm usually more concerned of a ultra low mileage car that one with higher documented mileage. Car are meant to be driven, not stored... I remember my dad had a Merc with 1200000 km on it when he sold it to a Taxi firm, last I heard it had over 2000000km.... Treat a quality vehicle right and it will not let you down.
I'm sure by the time I get an 8 it will have some miles on it and I don't care, as long as it comes from a good home. And by the sound of a lot of the owner here, it won't be one of theirs as everyone seems to treasure their 8's:) I wonder who will make it first to 1000000km in an 8?
