Same here Phil,
I would be very interested in the procedure you use to get it to work.
Thanks, Kurt
The documentation isn't very clear, but I stumbled upon the procedure a few years ago. My 850 was manufactured in 6/91, and came from a dealership in Fort Lauderdale. (Don't know if there were any variants that year. Don't know if date or place makes a difference.)
Press the [Timer] button, and the phrase "Ventilation Off" or "Ventilation On" appears. Press [Timer] again, and you get a display that says "Timer 1 11:50". (That's the time that I happen to have mine set on.) If you continually press [set/reset], you will see an asterisk toggle off and on. When the asterisk is on, the timer is set. When the asterisk if off, you can change the time. There are two timers. If you have been successful in arming it, the [Timer] button will be lit when the car is at rest, i.e. no key in the car.
