idle for a minute and then drive slowly for an another minute or so. Do not rev-up the engine and that's all the secret. Also use a quality engine oil and replace them often, that means you have perfect oil not thick meaning good lubrication all the time...
I do not warm-up my car for long (30-40seconds) because the average temp is over 75degrees which not considered cold at any way. I drive about 1.5 mile on a back road before reach a major street and a speed limit is 35. In the morning I'm a good citizen and do only about 30mph. When I reach the full temp. then I usually kick-it a little bit just to get a feeling for a day...
