And you guys think Jimmy (a.k.a. Happy540i) is nuts!

I just recieved a set of 4 Xenon charged bulbs (H-1 and H-4) that I got on e-Bay for $40 for the set. I figured, what the hell, I'll test them on the econoturd before I mess with the lighting on the "garage queen." They work great. They are easliy the best replacement bulbs I have ever used and are very effective. I have tried many name brand Halogen replacements over the years and these blow them away, especially for the price. They also do not have the cheezy blue tint that some of the other bulbs have. The oncoming light is a bright white and looks different then the yellowish tint that the halogens produce.

However, for some reason, I still want a geniune HID system for my 850. I will likely have to step up and pay on that one. I'll pay, but like anything else on that car, I want it done right. There seem to still be varying opinions on what the "right way" is to convert to the system.

So Jimmy, kiss my a**. $120 for 2 bulbs is a rip-off. I got all 4 for a third of the price.

In the Dec. issue of Bimmer magazine it shows EVERYONE how to use factory Ford units to achieve what RM Lighting is selling for half again as much. So for $400 you can have real HID's.

And they have Ford warranties that you can get locally.
Everytime you have a warranty issue with this guy you will have to wait, pay for postage
with snail mail, and put up with his attitude, IF HE"S STILL IN BUSINESS.

Now, RM Lighting go away!!!! Gouge people other than my Bimmer.org friends for an
extra $250.
