Well, I have to admit, that after owning Michelin, Pirelli, Sumitomo (Dunlop's parent co.) and Dunlops during the 90+ K miles I've put on my car, I like the Dunlop SP5000's. They are Z-rated all-weather tires that did very well in their review at Tirerack.com. However, I have to preface that by saying I live in Oklahoma where the saying is "if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute--it'll change." We have summers up to 110 deg. F, and winter can go down to 10 deg. F. We have hot dry summers with flood conditions often in the spring (tornado time). The SP5000's are a good all-around tire in that type of environment. Some have reported the Dunlops as developing flat spots if the car sits, but I have not experienced this. Also, I checked on the SP5000's and they are being shown as a W rated tire on Tirerack now, whereas mine are Z-rated. Might want to check that first if you consider those tires. By the way, it is almost impossible to spin these tires even with ASC+T turned off on my car, and mine's a six-speed.

Does anyone know where I can find inexpensive tires for a 850i. The range of prices I have seen are ridiculous. Comments on what brand are appreciated.
