I found Lez' comment interesting. My ASC+T light was flashing a lot as my old tires wore down. I recently installed MK 1's with Michelin Pilot Sports (285/35/18 & 245/40/18) and figured that I wouldn't see the light again. Well, if I charge a corner hard, I can still get the ASC+T to activate. I wonder if it may also be due to street construction. States in the US use different materials for their asphalt, and this may be the source of our different results. Curious...
