Glad to hear you're okay. I totalled a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 about a year ago. Let's just say I will always have an appreciation for "walking away" from an accident.

Something that might help you make this decision is having the frame inspected. If the frame is sprung, the only reason I would buy this car back would be for replacement parts for my next E31.

If the car is totalled, and you are NOT going to buy it back. Please let us all know. I am sure many members here would make quick work of finding homes for the car/parts. Especially if it is a 6-spd.

Speaking for myself, I'd love to buy some parts from the car. I'd be happy to send you a core exchange to turn in with the car.
