"BMW Car" magazine that is published in the UK had an 8-series buyer's guide article a while back. They said that if you are looking to buy an 8-series, and the particular example has cheap tires or non z-rated tires, to walk away from the deal. You should always keep your 8er in top condition as if you were selling it tomorrow. (I am amazed at how people let their houses get run down, and then scramble to have everything painted and repaired for the buyer's enjoyment. Why not do it now for your own enjoyment? Same with the car.)
