I replaced my water pump and thermostat this summer. I copiously photographed the whole thing. Didn't do it digitial though. I will scan the photos and post it. I was surprised how clean everything was. The dealer service manual doesn't have much info on it, but for nearly every procedure on the front of the engine, they start with removing the fan. You probably don't want to hear this, but the thermostat replacement was easy with the water pump out of the car and on the bench. Although you probably don't intend to take the water pump out, the photos may help.
