6spd 91 850i Problem (archive)

Maybe someone here that owns a 6spd 850i has the same problem I do? When I really step on the peddle hard in first gear the engines really jolts back the car back in forth like a miss timed clutch after about 2 1/2 thousand RPM. It only does this in 1st gear. I have talked to several mechanics and they said that Ferrari's and Porche's have the same problem. They tried telling me that you can't wind out 1st gear that much. I find this hard to belive or is this true? Please help! I just bought the car and this little problem in 1st gear is driving me crazy. Thanks for your input.
