Hello,

Are you talking about a performance chip? There are two from Dinan, an engine chip and a transmission chip. They both serve to make the car faster and perform better.

I have the Dinan engine chip installed, and it's a nice difference from the stock chip. Better off the line, more aggressive acceleration. I can get near normal fuel economy (18-21) on highway if I don't get too lead-footed. If I stomp it for prolonged periods of time, I get about 15-16 mpg.

Some have stated here that the conforti chip is better, and I am curious to compare. Has anyone gone from the Dinan engine chip to the Conforti and seen a difference?

Can anyone point me in the direction of finding detailed info online about Dinan chips?

I bought a '94 840Ci a month ago and the dealer just has no clue. They didn't even know it had a chip installed.

I'll go out on a limb and say the exhaust most likely has be changed in addition to the Schnitzer wheels, but, I am more interested in learning about this chip first.

thanks,
Ray
