In my infinite wisdom, I opended the light assembly and I got so intrigued that I opened eveything up to the motor that moves everything up and down and I then opended the motor itself, took the core out of the magnets
and started wondering at how good it looks. Now that I close up the motor, its not working!!!! DAMN!
Reminds me of when I used to open everything up as a child!
Now I am stuck with a big bill to replace the whole damn thing!!
I can't understand why it shouldn't work! Its a simple electric motor?! Is there a reset someplace that needs to be reset? I even checked the fuse and it looks ok!When will I learn my lesson?!

The most likely problem is that you did not properly install the armature in the housing.
There are 2 spring loaded brushes that supply power to the armature which must be held back when you insert the armature.
Check the resistance of the motor with a meter, should be very low 2-3 ohms if the windings are good and the brushes are intact.
Also check resistance to ground, should be very high or infinite.
