Yes I know my BMW history as well, my point was more that as the M1 is more a collectable as it's rare, the CSi can still be driven. If you look at the world market a CSi is worth about USD$25-30, so yes the M1 is more desirable if $$$ is the only factor.

As for modifying a M1, I think that would be insane. It's a collectable and should be treaded as such, not as any other newer BMW that is produced in mass numbers, the E31 included. At least in comparison to the M1. I also think that would decease its value in the future. It has 277hp that should do for most...

I still think they could have found some nicer mirrors… Ferrari and +++ did
