Hi Lez, I use this every time I drive the car. But, since it has been 6 weeks since I have driven my car, Let me see if I can remember. It was originally explained to me by another poster on this site about 10 months ago.
I have reported on this twice before and it should come up on the search of the archive if you want to double check my instructions here. But, it is rather simple.
- Put the key in the ignition and turn it all the way on and start the engine. Then turn the key back one notch as you shut the car off. (you don't have to start the engine) With the lights still on in your OBC display, then hit the OBC control panel function button labeled "CODE". It should then appear in the OBC window if the key is in the right spot!! Sometimes you have to do it a couple of times to get it just right.
- Then using your buttons for 1, 10, 100,or 1000 chose a number you would like to enter as the code. Perhaps your age at first sex experience of 13 or 30 :-)
- Then hit the function button "Set/ReL" on the OBC control panel which is Set/Release. Then you will see a small red light begin to blink on your OBC Control panel. Your alarm is now set.
- When you which to start your car again, you must put in the key and turn it only one click or notch forward until the lights come on again in the OBC display. Then the OBC will start flashing the word code if you have the key in the right spot.
- Then you punch in the exact same number 13 or 30 and then immediately hit the button "Set/Rel" again and then the blinking red light will go out and you have turned your alarm off and the car will start.
- If you don't turn the key properly or enter the proper code number that you entered when you set the alarm, then the car won't start and the alarm will begin to go off if someone tries to start the car or open the hood. It is great I use it every time I drive the car.

Try it you'll like. But whatever you do don't forget the number you put in or you won't be able to start your car and the alarm will go off and drive you crazy and you try to enter a bunch of different options until you remember what it was
Hehe, happened to me a couple of times. I have no idea what to do if I can't eventually remember the code. Go to the stealer I guess. I always make sure I remember the number and I always make sure that I punch the numbers very slow and carefully. A mistake will keep you from starting the car. It really works well.
Good luck, Kurt
