buying an 850, pitfalls,shipping from Europe (archive)

Please can someone help. I am buying a used 850. I have a choice, 91 or 93. What pitfalls mechanically should I be aware of apart from the usual. I am told the 840 suffers from bore ware, is this true?
Also, I am shipping from UK to Ca.. Anyone had this experience and have any recommendations.
