Is this in the morning when the car is cold?

If so, there is an inherent prob with the beasts. It has to do with the power steering. I solved mine by replacing the fluid and cleaning the filter. It is almost a groaning sound rather than repetative.

However you're sound sounds like a repetative one in which something is actually turning. (?????)
