I put Dunlop 245/50/16s on the back and
245/45/16s on the front. This lowered the nose, reduced understeer, improved turn in, and actually improved initial "hook up" response off the line due to the nose "rising" to its former neutral state (while the rear wheels counter rotate without slipping). Since the speedo/odometer is measured from the rear wheel's rotation, the lower profile/smaller diameter/faster rotation front tires have no effect on the speedo/odometer.
