I would love to have a .pdf copy of any BMW documentation, especially the ETM.
The problem with photocopy manuals is that the toner on the pages will stick together over time and become unreadable.
I reccommend anyone who purchases one put each page in a protective cover designed for this purpose, available at any office supply store.
The beauty of an electronic copy is that you can print out just the section you need and not worry about damaging it on the workbench or garage floor.
Since BMW seems to have abandonded E31 ownwer's (as far as documentation) I think we need to rely on each other to make the documentation that exists available to the enthusiest who wants and needs it.
.pdf if probably the best way.
